Leaving Germany / World travel / Nomadic life

Leaving without settling anywhere.

We are not trading Germany for one new country. We want to experience the world and take our home wherever wheels and sails can carry us.

Why we are leaving without one destination

For us, leaving Germany does not mean swapping it for one new country. We want to experience different cultures, people and landscapes without tying our whole life to one place again. Our journey around the world is less a fixed route than a decision in favour of movement, curiosity and greater freedom.

Tatventure follows that path from the beginning: excitement as well as doubt, work, poor decisions and fresh starts. We do not claim to offer a perfect guide to emigration. We show what our own attempt really looks like.

A nomadic life on wheels and sails

Our Hymermobil 540 T1 is our home on the road. The Jeanneau Attalia 32 is becoming our home on the water. Both were built in 1984, both require work and together they let us connect life on land with life at sea.

Sailing is an important part of Tatventure, but it is not the only category. This story is equally about vanlife, wanderlust, world travel, repairs, daily life on the move and two people building mobile homes for themselves and two cats.

For everyone who cannot shake the wanderlust

Tatventure is for people who dream of leaving, long for a journey around the world or want to see mobile life beyond perfect holiday images. Whether you care about vanlife, sailing, travelling with cats or simply a brave fresh start, the common thread is life on the move.

We are not showing a finished success story. We are showing the road towards it, with tools in our hands, cats on board and plenty of improvisation. That is why Tatventure can be both inspiring and honest.
